SEVEN SISTERS

A series of seven ceramic sculptures inspired by the seven stars/sisters of the Pleiades constellation. Maia, Alcyone, Merope, Targete, Electra, Celaeno, and Sterope will be transformed into doves and then into stars by the gods to escape the excessive love of Orion (a neighboring constellation), which will haunt them throughout their lives. Through the mythological narrative of the attributes and destiny of each of these figures, the artist explores different states of human psychology and paints a symbolic portrait of these ancient figures.
